Terms & Conditions
Effective Date: July 27, 2026
By purchasing an event ticket, or product from Darcy’s Tea Circle, you agree to the following Terms & Conditions.
1. Event Ticketing Terms
1.1 Ticket Purchases
All Tea Circle gatherings are separately ticketed events.
Member pricing applies only to active members at the time of purchase.
Tickets must be purchased in advance. Seating is limited and not guaranteed without confirmed registration.
1.2 Cancellations by Guest
Event tickets may be cancelled:
- Up to 72 hours prior to the event for a full refund of the ticket price.
- Within 72 hours of the event, tickets are non-refundable unless the space is resold.
No refunds are issued for no-shows.
1.3 Event Cancellation by Darcy’s Tea Circle
If an event is cancelled or rescheduled by Darcy’s Tea Circle due to unforeseen circumstances (including but not limited to venue issues, illness, weather, or force majeure), guests will be offered:
- A full refund of the ticket price; or
- A credit toward a future event.
Membership fees are not refundable due to individual event cancellation.
2. Private Afternoon Tea Experience
Our immersive luxury afternoon tea experiences are thoughtfully curated to create an elegant and memorable occasion for you and your guests. To ensure every event runs smoothly, the following policies apply to all private bookings.
2.1 Initial Payments
A non-refundable initial payment of 33% is required to secure your event date. Final guest numbers, menu selections, dietary requirements, and venue details must be confirmed no later than 14 days prior to your event. Gluten-free and select dietary accommodations are available with advance notice.
Our pricing includes the agreed-upon menu, premium loose leaf teas, elegant tablescape styling, and the services outlined in your event proposal. Additional guests, custom décor requests, extended event times, specialty menu items, or venue-related fees may incur additional charges.
The host is responsible for ensuring the venue is accessible and suitable for the agreed-upon event setup. Darcy's Tea Circle reserves the right to modify décor or service requirements if weather, venue conditions, or safety concerns arise.
Due to the custom nature of our events, cancellations made within 14 days of the scheduled event are non-refundable. Date changes may be accommodated, subject to availability.
Our goal is to create an unforgettable luxury tea experience where every detail has been carefully considered, allowing you to relax and enjoy time with your guests.
Minimum Booking
Private afternoon tea experiences are available for groups of 6 to 30 guests maximum.

3. Afternoon Tea To-Go & Perishable Goods Policy
Afternoon Tea To-Go boxes and similar products contain perishable food items.
3.1 Order Cancellations
Orders may be cancelled for a full refund if cancellation is received at least 72 hours before the scheduled pickup or delivery date.
Orders cancelled within 72 hours are non-refundable due to food preparation and perishability.
3.2 Pickup Responsibility
Customers are responsible for collecting orders at the agreed pickup time.
Darcy’s Tea Circle is not responsible for product quality after pickup.
3.3 Product Concerns
If an order is incorrect or significantly damaged at pickup, customers must notify Darcy’s Tea Circle within 24 hours for review.
Refunds or replacements are issued at the discretion of Darcy’s Tea Circle after assessment.
4. Privacy Policy
Darcy’s Tea Circle collects personal information in accordance with applicable Canadian privacy laws, including the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).
4.1 Information Collected
We may collect:
- Name
- Email address
- Billing and shipping information
- Payment details (processed securely through third-party payment providers)
- Event preferences and dietary information (if provided)
- Private event inquiries and scheduling may be collected and processed through third-party tools including Tally Forms and Calendly, in accordance with their respective privacy practices.
4.2 Use of Information
Personal information is used to:
- Process memberships and purchases
- Communicate event details and updates
- Provide membership content
- Send marketing communications (with consent)
Members may unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time.
4.3 Data Protection
Payment information is processed through secure third-party providers. Darcy’s Tea Circle does not store full credit card information.
Personal information is stored securely and is not sold to third parties.
4.4 Access & Correction
Members may request access to or correction of their personal information by contacting:

5. Code of Conduct
Darcy’s Tea Circle is intended to be a respectful and welcoming environment.
Members and guests agree to:
- Behave respectfully toward hosts and other attendees
- Follow venue guidelines
- Respect event boundaries and structure
Darcy’s Tea Circle reserves the right to remove individuals from events without refund for disruptive or unsafe behaviour.
6. Assumption of Risk & Liability Disclaimer
6.1 Event Participation
By attending an in-person event, guests acknowledge that participation involves inherent risks, including but not limited to:
- Food-related allergies or sensitivities
- Accidental injury
- Venue-related risks
Guests are responsible for informing Darcy’s Tea Circle of dietary restrictions prior to attendance.
Darcy’s Tea Circle is not liable for:
- Allergic reactions where ingredients were disclosed
- Personal injury resulting from negligence of third-party venues
- Loss or damage to personal property
- Please note: NO Peanuts, crab meat, lemons, or Hazelnuts are used in our preparations or at our events due to allergies.
6.2 Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by Ontario law, Darcy’s Tea Circle’s total liability for any claim related to membership, events, or product purchases shall not exceed the amount paid by the customer for the specific product or event giving rise to the claim.
7. Force Majeure
Darcy’s Tea Circle is not responsible for failure or delay in performance due to events beyond reasonable control, including but not limited to:
- Severe weather
- Public health restrictions
- Government regulations
- Venue closures
8. Governing Law
These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the laws of Canada applicable therein.
Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Ontario.
9. Changes to Terms
Darcy’s Tea Circle reserves the right to update these Terms & Conditions at any time. Updated terms will be posted on the website with a revised effective date.
Continued membership or purchase constitutes acceptance of updated terms.
